New to the forum and the Z4M
Greetings to everyone,
As I'm going to be the proud owner of a 2007 Silver Grey Metallic Z4M Coupe later this week, I thought it fitting to join this forum. I've lurked for a few days now and it seems there is definitely a wealth of knowledge on this board. I look forward to getting to know everyone. I just sold my '04 Crossfire today, will be picking the M up Thursday and getting to know her with a long drive back home. I'll post pics of the M when I pick it up. Cheers! |

They are nice looking, aren't they? But I bet the OP is going to find a major difference when he piles on the gas in the ZM!

Sorry for the delayed response, was working a bit today.
Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome, this definitely seems like a quality forum. To answer the questions from various members: The Crossfire was not the SRT-6, unfortunately. Still a fun little vehicle, though. It's what got me interested in the 2-seater models, so I'm definitely thankful to have had it. I'll try to put some pics of her at the end of this post. AUTOX08MC, glad to see I won't be alone as an owner here in Indy. This far north I imagine they get a little bit less common (not that it's a bad thing to be unique.) mhughett, I'm purchasing the M from a dealership in Houston, TX. Believe me, I tried to find one closer, but it was the closest I could locate that was the color I wanted, coupe and less than 35K miles (not to mention a decent price.) I fly out Thursday morning, it's kind of like the buildup before Christmas when I was a kid; don't think I'll sleep much Wednesday night. Well, now I'm going to give my shot at posting some pics of the Crossfire I sold. Lets see how this goes... |

Yeah I remember the night before I flew out to pick up my car...didn't really sleep much that night. Come to think of it, I didn't sleep much for the few couple of nights before picking it up because I was so excited!

I think the 17 hour journey home should be some good bonding time for me and the M. |

I did a 24 hour trip from Indy to Boise back in fall 2010, but I had to drive it straight through due to a timeline. Can't say I'd like to do that long of a trip again without splitting up over 2 days. |

TXZ4: Probably good that you were able to nap, I got a few hours on that long trip, myself, and they were definitely needed.
Rick: I don't plan on letting it go, Z4MCs are too rare as it is, I know I'd kick myself down the line if I ever did. One more day until I pick it up... |
