Are you looking to upgrade or to replace one of the OEM springs?

If you're looking to upgrade then springs for the '03 Z4 series will fit. The M Sport springs lower the car 13mm from the standard springs and are just slightly firmer. Any of the upgrade springs will lower the car about 1.5" from where the non M-sport springs sit so they'll lower you about 1" from where you currently sit.

If you're looking for stock replacement springs you have to go to the BMW ETK site and enter your VIN to get the part number for the springs for your car.

^ chickdr is right. Looks like they have them. Note front springs have different part numbers dependent on your transmission

There is a set of H&R lowering springs in the classifieds.

BavAuto, Turner, etc. are all good too.

I would downplay mentioning the "M-sport" suspension when you're trying to get parts, because it may confuse the company into sending you Z4M parts. If anything, I would call it "sport package". Sport package and non-sport package cars will use the same aftermarket springs/shocks/sways, but the Z4M uses different parts.

There isn't a best option for everyone, but there is a best option for you. Springs are a compromise among ride quality, ride height, shock life, body roll, compliance, predictability, linear vs progressive, etc. What works best on the race track won't work best on the street, and what gives the most aesthetically pleasing look may not provide good performance.

Coilovers allow some adjustment in ride height and freedom to choose spring rates. Some allow for adjustments for compliance and performance via multiple damping controls, but at extra cost.
