Lightbulb HPF Vented carbon fiber engine cover

I was browsing and found this on the hpf main page, i thought it looks really nice and seems to help with the ignition coils, but mainly i think it looks pretty cool.
Any thoughts or experiences with this?

Wow very interesting, good find. The price isn't too bad I suppose, considering it comes with the horn/trumpet.

I'm curious what kind of modifications it's referring to for proper horn/trumpet functionality.

I emailed the guys at hpf yesterday to ask for more specific instructions about installation i'll post once they respond.
I think the price isnt bad at all, i can assume from common sense that the openings would let heat escape better plus any extra flow of fresh air directed at that particular spot would help as well. They dont provide any evidence or numbers but in a high performance car a small detail can make a difference in performance ( example, people getting rid of extra weight such as stock gps unit, electric seats, changing a pulley,etc..).
That's just my opinion about it, some might not think it makes a difference, some might not like it, just wanted to share it with you guys, maybe it'll be helpful for someone given the fact that there isn't too much of an aftermarket world of option for our cars out there, thanks for the replies

Looks cool but the price is huge! I have a carbon fiber engine bay cover from Tekarbon for $150. Doesn't have the fancy cooling thing but looks great.

It looks like the snorkel/horn hovers above the oil filter, which means that the entire cover must be removed for every oil changes?

I'm with Roffle on this...just remove the OE cover if you're that concerned about overheating the coils. Or just use a dremel to create a few slits on the OE cover.

You know that big plastic "tool tray" over the radiators under the hood? THAT piece would be cool to have in carbon. Would be a huge visual upgrade

Simple and good looking

I sourced a used engine cover and had it slotted for ventilation by a buddy with a machine shop for beer money. Those coils will not overheat.

Looks great with the red BavAuto coils underneath, IMHO.

With the slits? Yeah, I was thinking the same thing

The HPF one with the horn/trumpet might actually be arguable, but otherwise the engine bay's ambient temps are still going to get at the coils
