removing headlight washers?
What did people here use to block the water line running to the headlight washers?

So Roffle, do you want to make sure they don't turn on (pull fuse, or disconnect pump power supply), or actually remove and block the water line going to the washer nozzles themselves? I'm guessing if you disconnect the line and want to "plug" them you'd need to find some kind of plug that would fit drip system tubing or perhaps fish air line/pump tubing (hardware store or pet store perhaps).

I'd like to remove the lines going to the headlight nozzles, at the "T" fitting in the water line. Also remove the water lines going from that "T" to them. Just unplugging the water line means everything else drains out too (the windshielf washer system)
for 1. very minor weight savings up front 2. so I don't lose water/meth mixture on washing the unnecessaries

I snipped the tube @ the pump and used a zip tie to close the tube. I removed the rest of the equipment.
There is an opportunity to make a cap/plug for removing the headlight pump altogether.

Just disconnected the electrical connector to the secondary pump that powers the headlight washers. No issue. No leaks. They never activate.
This is the quickest and easiest way, unless you want to remove the entire assembly. |

It's the rear most one. I wish I had a picture.
Disconnect, cover the connectors and tie back. |

check this thread for pics; the last pic shows the washer connection with a short tube & plugged end. http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=572878 .
