The Z is under cover for the winter, but the last thing I got was E46 M3 seats. Had the side latches deleted and had the seats upholstered to match the car

Finally got a chance to install my new BMW OEM sport suspension. A bit pricey but well worth it if factory sport handling is your priority.

I bought the Foxwell NT510 for BMW, a wheel holder so it is easy to mount the wheel/tire, axle puller, and exhaust expander for the new exhaust system I will put on. For Christmas, I got a low-profile jack, and black grills instead of grey/chrome. And black emblems instead of chrome (hate chrome on a black car). As I am writing this, it is snowing outside so no need to be in a hurry to get this new stuff on!

Got a 3D printer recently so I could make various parts for my Z4M as needed.

Made this today.

Spent the weekend refurbishing the front and rear brakes. Can't believe it still had the original factory BMW pads and rotors.

Caliper got completely cleaned and painted silver with G2. Just wanted "an always clean" look - no fancy powder coating or colors like with my 550i. Zimmerman rotors and Akebono pads on all fours with new ATE brake lines and ATE brake fluid.

Disassembly

Cleaned and Sanded

Painted & Assembled

I have installed an illuminated ZHP knob and boot from an F80 M3, the leather was adapted to the Z4 boot frame and it look really nice.

Didn’t ‘buy’ anything new but swapped back to street pads and wheels so I could take her out for quick mountain run on this chilly morning. Love how I can do all 4 corners under 45 mins, that alone is worth the the brake upgrade

What did you do about the rear rotor since they didn't have a drilled one from Zimmerman? I am going to do my brakes soon!

No actual pics, but just finished installing BavSound Stage 1 for Standard Z4 factory sounds system. Definitely improved my mids and highs.

Rears just got solid Zimmerman rotors, unfortunately. I realize some other brands make them, but personally not willing to give up German quality for looks. The Zimmerman (or Brembo) rotors + Akebono pads have been my trusted combo for every car I've owned.

I purchased these on Christmas evening rollover bar covers from a vendor on eBay Motors and they arrived today.

My two requests were they be bright red as pictured and white stitching to match both my one-off custom soft top and custom seat covers that has white quilting.

It must be said I am pleasantly surprised that both requests were granted. I will have these installed before Bimmer Invasion next month here in Orlando.

And I may add the waterfall and console here in the next few days if I decide to get those as well.

spielnicht, Thanks for the information. I might do the same thing. I have used Akebono pads on my 128i & VW. NO BRAKE DUST on my cars. Plus, the rotors last longer. My Z doesn't do track days (damn near a garage Queen) or I would opt for something more mellitic.

Hello-

Not what have I bought, but what would I like to buy.

Does anyone have any experience with Beverly Hills Motoring FLANNELGUARD SUPREME indoor covers?

I have bought Covercraft before and they are not robust enough for what they charge. 2 years in, I'm more happy with my CoverKing on the Mustang. I would like to try BHM for a Z4 M Roadster purchase I will make to protect her in the garage.

Interested in any feedback. Z4 or otherwise.

BTW, this thread is great, inspiring, tempting and fun to read.

I have used BHM and California car covers for decades. They are a high quality and last forever. The flannelguard I have is many years old and still fine. I must say I have a BMW cover that I just bought for my E89 and its also very nice and flannel lined. I like it because it is a strtch fbric too and fits flawlessly and tight.

New stablemate that will replace the wife’s F25. The N55 X3 has been very reliable over the last 9 years, but it was time for something newer/bigger. The GX is not nearly as fast but man is this V8 smooth. Nice knowing it can even trailer the M coupe if necessary. I can’t get over how good the build quality is on this car. Best of all, comes with unlimited miles CPO warranty through June 2028 and 2 years free maintenance.

Nice tow rig! I had a CPO GS350 for 50,000 miles a few years ago. Great highway car, not a great handling car though. Super comfortable, quiet, and reliable. It was the right tool for the job at hand, and I enjoyed it for what it was.

Got bored and decided to try another set of DRL bulbs. I think this as bright as you can get without installing AE rings. I
I do wish it was a tad less blue (more white) but it’s still way better than stock imo. Plus it only cost me $10
