Question on Supersprint Headers

I found SS headers for my 3.0si coupe here:

http://www.supersprintna.com/product...arch_model/388

there is no mention that it needs any other hardware to work but when I called Supersprint to confirm fitment, they said it will not work with stock piping and that I'd have to purchase their cats in order to make this work. Is that really the case? I know the M-model is a totally different car but I've never heard any of the M guys having to purchase aftermarket cats for their headers, just seemed a little strange.

There's more options for the Z4M because it's the same engine and section 1 as the e46 M3. The standard SS headers for the Z4M fit the OE section 1 but the SS stepped headers do not and require the SS cats or straight pipes.

Basically, it looks like SS made their own exaust system for the Z4 and if you want it, you're going to have to get the whole thing.

I did a bit more research, turns out for a perfect fit you need the cats. Else any muffler shop should be able to weld on an adapter so that it fits the stock piping.

That's exactly what you'll need to do for 3.0si models.

For the Z4M, they're direct bolt-on pieces just like its S54-equipped brother.

I can get you the Supersprint header for a great price. Give me call if you have other questions regarding specs and fitment.
