Excellent paint chip repair guide
http://store.carcareonline.com/repairpaintchips.aspx
This website has a great guide to repairing paintchips for the truly obsessive, plus quite a few other good diy articles. Lost this link for a while, then found it again after some googling. Wanted to post it here before i lost it again |

Have you seen the DrColorChip product? I've tried it and it works extremely well.

I have, but everybody says you can still see the chips from a couple feet away. If you use actual, color matched paint, and the process above, vs the modified dr colorship paint, I feel like it could give better results. For a ton more work, to be sure.
I have quite a few chips on the bumper, and 2 or 3 larger ones in other more visible places. I'm thinking of doing dr colorchip for the bumper ones and the process above for the more visible ones. |

I've had good results with DrColorChip. Why not give that a try first before you buy all the other stuff? You may find that it works well enough for the more visible ones. I find that if you follow their directions meticulously, repairs can be very hard to detect.
