Spotted in NYC West Side Hwy
Black roadster, Carolina plates, hard top, aftermarket headlight/halos, quad exhaust although not sure if it was M or 3.0 quad conversion. Exhaust sounded terrible, you drove like an a$$ and one of your amber strips is partially out.
Don't be shy now, who was it? Last edited by 3002 tii; 01-26-2014 at 12:41 AM.. |

That sounds exactly like someone we used to know that moved from Fort Bragg to NYC, with a hard top, and RPI exhaust...
Did you happen to see CF doors?

It was quite dark so too hard to tell. But I did spot the car the same place I saw the fellow you're speaking of last time, West Side hwy around 20-30th streets.

I have to tell you, my Z is no garage queen. I care immensely about the car, take care of it myself (meaning I detail it, did my own audio upgrade and do my own maintenance) I've got winter tires on it now so I can drive it during the cold months and in case I get stuck in the snow.
So, all that said...Manhattan is the LAST place I want to be driving that car. Not only for the incredible abuse it will take due to the horrible, pitiful condition of all paved surfaces but also because once on the inner streets there would be only pain and no pleasure. And this is on 18's....I can't imagine rolling in The City on anything bigger. Don't get me wrong, I love banzai runs into and out of Manhattan. I was in Brooklyn last Friday night (in my daily, a TSX) and running up the FDR at 11pm was a hoot as always. But driving a stiff, cold-weather creaking BMW in those bowels...not much upside. |
