Protective film for Z4M Coupe bumper and more
Guys,
I'm looking at purchasing protective film for my Z4MC, and looking for places that sell the film already pre-cut. I found 1 place on ebay, who is will to sell me complete pre-cut for Z4MC which includes bumper, partial hood, fenders, mirrors. Here is the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/400191163118...S:1123&vxp=mtr Also, I had my bumper repainted, and the seller warned me with the following: Also, has this vehicle been repainted? If so, applying a clear bra on the non-factory paint can be tricky. There is a risk of pulling the paint because it is never as strong as the factory paint. Professionals can sometimes work quick enough on new paint so they do not cause damage, however you still run the risk of pulling the paint when removing it years later. What do you guys think? Anyone try this product from ebay? Thanks Sergio |

The new paint must set up at least 3-6 months before you apply any type of 'clearbra', or you increase the chance of pulling some paint, if you have to remove a piece for what ever reason.

This 3M defender product looks very good.
Anyone find a video on doing the bumper with this spray? The hood, is straight forward. Note sure if we can paint/protect the headlight with this? Is 1 can enough for partial hood and bumper? Sergio Last edited by Sergio; 07-07-2013 at 10:08 PM.. |

Stay away from the spray, there's a few video's out there & it's a nightmare to remove from what I understand. I've had a 3M clear bra on my 1 series and because of an accident, had it replaced. The kits don't nearly line up as well as a custom cut & installed bra. My .02 worth is spend the money & have it done right... You won't regret it.
