WTB E85 Amplifier from top hifi

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Someone out there with a Roadie must have upgraded their sound system and still have the stock amp lying around. looking for part #65129125751 or part #65129138102, but most importantly it needs to have come from a Roadie with top hifi. Not out of a coupe. Its a coding issue. Im running an experiment, willing to pay anything reasonable. Thanks.

Open to suggestions here. Problem is that this project/experiment I am trying is worth ~$300 to me. BUT, I am not looking to pick anyone off, this needs to be fair for seller.

If consensus is that a used amp is worth more like $800, then maybe I need to try and sell my perfectly good amp out of my coupe first, for $500. (and if the buyer is an e85 owner, then it'd cost that person another +$160 or so to have it recoded to their car).

Perhaps I need to offer up a swap instead with me paying a premium for it. Just hoping someone had one laying around they'd be happy to punt on the cheapey. Shoulda labeled this thread a 'Feeler'.

Will do. Of course, you will get to experience the difference first hand. let you know when it arrives, hopefully next weekend.

You might still do the swap. Check out the thread "working with Carver Subs", he is in the exact same situation as you with his cars, and he did the swap. According to him, giving up the Equilizer in the Nav equipped coupe by swapping his non-nav e85 amp into it, was still a "1000%" improvement over the orig coupe coded amp even though he no longer can use the EQ. Then he took his e85 to the dealer, with his e86 amp in it, and they recoded the amp back to the e85. End result: 2 cars with the much better "e85" sound, even though he cant use the EQ in his nav equipped e86.
