Looking to buy Z4 good deal?
Hey guys I'm looking to get a CPO Z4 as a fun second car (currently own a 335i). Dealer near me has one 2007 with around 45k miles, sport and premium package for $24k (hoping to get them down from that to lower $20s). Everything seems to be in good condition except for the speaker cover behind the driver is cracked but they said they would fix that.
So what do you think? My budget is >$25k. Just a bit worried about the high mileage but it is CPO so dunno. The Z4 seems to be more reliable than my 335 with all the HPFP issues and what not. |

Which Z4 model? Between Coupe/Roadster & ///M's I believe there were 5 versions of Z4 produced in 2007. Might get more insight if we know which model you looked at.

Yeah, the model matters a lot. If it is an M then $24 seems like a fair price, if it is a 3.0si or 3.0i then $20 would be a much better estimate of market price.
I just got quoted $17-19K for trade in for my 2007 3.0si Coupe with premium package, heated seats, M seats and 44K miles. As far as worrying about the high mileage... I have heard of very few problems with high mileage Zeds so far. There are a few members pushing 100K miles already with nothing but basic maintenance. Reliability seems to be good with the Z4 of any model.

Sorry, it is a 3.0 convertible not the si or M. An M would be nice, but they seem to be in the low 30s high 20s. They are asking $24k but I think I would feel better around $20-$21k.
