Apex ARC-8 18X9 / 18X10 update
Hey, I rarely post on here but I thought I would post an update on my 18x9" 245/40 front, 18X10" 275/30 rear Apex ARC-8/Nitto Invo, H&R spring set up for the benefit of Z4M Kind.
I have been happily running the set up for two seasons. Last season I had no rubbing issues of any kind front or rear even at the track. This season the H&R Springs have settled enough that I am getting very slight rubbing on the outside rear tires on the track. Normal aggressive street driving however is not an issue. I was planning on dropping down to a 235 f & 265 r set up anyway due to my opinion that the 275 are more tire than I need and I am always looking to reduce unsprung weight. I am sure that this will fix the issue. Hope that info benefits someone out there considering this set up. Cheerio. |

Thanks for the update.
My set up is 18x9 ET17 (5mm less aggressive than yours according to 1010Wheels offset caculator) and I have 255/40/18 Advan Neova AD08 and the rears are rubbing (suspension is Eibach/Koni). The AD08s look wider than my original Contis of the same size and the shoulders are pretty square so that definitely contributes to the rubbing.

Take a fender roller to the rear fender and you should be fine.
My street setup is a 245/275 19" Nt05 setup, I have no problems with rubbing even with the car slammed. As soon as I put the NT01s on with a square shoulder I was getting bad rub in the rear, ended up cutting out the fender liners and flaring the fenders a bit with the Eastwood Fender rolling. No more rub.

Same as above, from the group buy (apex 18x9 / 18x10). Street wheels are HRE C20. My front fender liners are worn through on the outside, just let the tire eat them up and then trimmed with a dremel.
That being said, glad I went to full on track wheels, trimming wasn't a big deal and took less than 2 hours for all 4 wheels. Well worth it for the extra grip on track.

I know I'll need a ton of negative camber on the front somewhere around 2.5 -3 degrees

BTW, I see you're from Hartford. I just bought my coupe (7/08 build) at North Haven a few weeks ago and drove it back to PA. |

I was going to run the 18x9 but I wanted the concave look. Do you think rubbing will be a huge issue with my setup?? I really wanna make sure I can run these without issue before I spend a couple grand

I wanted to run 18x 9.5" offset 35 265 all around probably Hankook RS3
I will install camber plates to get around 2.5-3 degrees of negative camber 5 mm spacer most likely but not 100%

I posted all over that thread. see page 2 there are several pics of people running 9.5 in the front. The red car on the second page of that thread has them wrapped in pilot sport cups.
