Bluetooth via Aux

I'd like a simple/inexpensive bluetooth unit to go into my factory Aux port for use with my iPhone. I realize audio quality may suffer to some degree with this setup - I'm currently using a 3.5mm cable from my phone to the aux and just tired of having to plug the phone in every time I want to stream Pandora to the car.

Can anyone suggest a specific brand/unit that they have used? There are a million of them out there...looking for direct experience rather than speculation.

I'd also like something that doesn't dangle/have long wires - that's one of the issues I'm trying to avoid by going away from the cord from aux to phone.

Maybe something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Portable-Bluet.../dp/B008AGQMQC but from a more reputable company...

TIA

I've done the same with my AUX port using a cheap BT receiver. So far no issues with sound quality and I set my Android phone to only stream media on that BT so calls still function through the stock BT & mic.

I'm thinking of ordering another model to compare and see if I find any notable differences.

Even combined the cost will still be less than anything from BestBuy.

On a side note, I did purchase a BT Adapter for the garage that is hooked up to a set of PC speakers and tested it in the AUX adapter as well. Perfect sound, just not as slim profile.

Photo of the BT settings on my phone attached.

Battery in the "Cheap receiver" has died. Not sure if I overcharged it or it was just that cheap. Fine print on the packaging did state 5V/1A charge, and I was using an old Motorola 8V/1.5A charger.

I have an HTC One M8, and bought one of these:

http://www.amazon.com/HTC-Bluetooth-...bluetooth+A100

I didn't pay nearly that much for it (I paid ~$25 if I remember correctly). The sound quality was/is terrible -- bass is completely gone. A PO installed a DICE unit, and I've started using the AUX hookup through that. The sound quality through the DICE Aux seems to be quite an improvement over going through the standard AUX port as well...

Good luck with your search! I've been looking for the same functionality but haven't been able to find something decent yet.

Best option I have seen for this is the Sony SBH50 or SBH52. Retail pricing is really expensive, but you can get them a lot cheaper online. They offer quite good audio (massively surpassing the Motorola S705 I used to use), and if you have an Android phone, they can even display notifications and things on the little screen so if you mount it somewhere visible, you can still see what's going on on your phone without getting it out.

The big difference between the two is that the 52 has an onboard DAC so the audio will be a bit nicer, but whether its worth the price premium over the 50 is up to you. Given the mediocre quality of the Aux in on these cars, I would think the 50 should satisfy most people.

Oh, and super-simple MicroUSB charging with a battery that lasts quite a while makes it pretty easy to keep charged up.
