Another Vibra-Technics Group Buy on M3Forum
Hey, just like the title says. I wanted to share this with everyone. Engine mounts are $275 shipped! You must be able to PM on M3Forum to qualify for the GB.
Here is the link: http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=448699 This one ends on July 31st. If you didn't get them before, I highly recommend them. They completely change the car and make shifting sooo much nicer. |

Thanks for the heads up. The E46 & E85/E86 uses the same mount?

I know the engine mounts are the same from the Z4M to the E46 M3 and people have installed them without issue but will that transmission mount work, as well?
The relevant p/n's are the same for the factory transmission brace so I think it'll work... can anyone confirm?

I had asked vibra technics this when I saw the trans mounts were under development and was told they will not work with our cars. If you check their website, they don't have the trans mounts available for z4, but the engine mounts are the same.

As for the group buy, jump on it guys! This is one of the best cheap mods you can do to your car. Even if you don't track this mod is highly recommended! Make sure you order the Z4 part Number (even though it's the same part) as that way they can track how many Z4 owners are buying and hopefully they will prioritize a transmission mount for us.

What is the difference between the two versions? I can't seem to find a concise explanation anywhere.

"The fast road mounts are designed dramatically reduce engine movement without any compromise in vibration and noise isolation. The competition mounts are designed to work on the track under extreme conditions. There will be some perceptible vibration near idle speed. Some folk have used the competition mounts on the street very successfully but it depends on the "feel" you are aiming for with your car." |

Just ordered a set as well. Thanks for the tip on the GB! After the conversion from £182 it came out to $273.83 for me. Unfortunately though it will probably be a year before I am able to install these or even see my car again.

Don't hesitate guys, I'm not affiliated with these guys at all and really think everyone needs to jump on these. They are THAT good.

Got mine today. Man...shipping was super fast considering these were shipped out of UK!
Can anyone in the SoCal area (preferably in OC) recommend a shop to get these installed? |

If you cant get any Nord-Locks for the 10.9 engine bolts, would it be just as fine with Loctite?
