Floor Mat Retainer?

How does the floor mat stay in place on your coupe or roaster? The back of the ///M mats have the velcro felt like material, but it doesn't cling to anything. I think I'm missing the attachment plastic disc that's supposed to be attached to the carpet? If so, anyone have a part number for that attachment plastic disc? Thanks.

The part number is missing from Z diagrams but it's a really basic and generic part so perhaps you could substitute the e90 disk: 51479171368

I just bought some new M mats for my coupe and they came with the velcro disks that you screw into the carpeting. The mats that were in the car when I bought it were not the M mats but were OEM Z4 mats. Like you say, they had the felt type material on their back and there was a small strip of hook material in the carpeting but they never stayed in place that well. These new ones work much better. Got them from

for $62+$8 shipping. They look great with the M logo on them.

I have the disc I can send you. I got them with my all-weather mats, but where they screw into the floor doesn't line up correctly with the related holes for the hooks that exist in the mats Want 'em, PM me.

Thanks so much for the offer! However, my OEM mats don't have holes for the hooks...just some velcro-like felt on the bottom side of the mats. Will the disc work with this?

The disk screws into the carpet on the floor of the car. And the disks are the same in both my E90 and E85. Hope that helps.
