Need Advice/ Direction

Well the time has come and my BMW hood Emblem has officially gone to shit. After a closer look, I really need to replace all of them.

So here is my question:

Do I get new stickers/ Decals or do I buy all new Emblems?

If I go with stickers where would you suggest buying?

If I go with Emblems where would you suggest buying? My biggest fear as that they will not be OEM size.

Thanks in advance

I replaced the hood and trunk emblems on my 06M when I purchased it this summer. I bought the emblems themselves direct from BMW. That's the route I'd go if I were you.

I replaced mine with those carbon fiber and had to modify the front. I think you shouldn't have any problem if you get the OEM from the dealer. Don't waste your time with the vinyl overlays.

Thanks fellas

Oh one more thing the BMW M Colors are fading, for this you still recommend new emblems not vinyl overlays?

I would. I've purchased some of the aftermarket ///M badges, and the colors faded within a couple months. Unfortunately, I think OEM is the way to go again there as well.

I replaced the front emblem on my Z4 several months ago. I found a OEM replacement on E-Bay a couple of bucks cheaper than the dealership with free shipping. I saved some on not having to drive the 20 mile round trip to the dealership.

Just FYI the front is held on with self-tapping nuts and is easly reached through the kidney grills.

I had the same issue with the ///M badges.
Went with these vinyl overlays (think colorforms).
2 years later and they still look like new.

That is a good option as well. I could not believe how much they are charging for the OEM badges

Yep vinyl overlays are great, just make sure you get high quality ones.

Agree 1000%. The side M badges look like an afterthought, and many were stuck on crooked (both mine were) by Bubba at the Bubba Makes Wheels factory in Spartanburg. Pulled mine back in '09 and MUCH prefer the look without 'em.

^ This

Those are very high quality and fit the rear badge perfectly.
They're about 1/4" too long so you have something to hold onto while you stick them on.
Then just trim with an Exacto.

The side badges on the Z4 have narrower stripes.
After measuring once and cutting twice, here's how I got mine to fit.
Comes out looking better than OEM.
