who needs their z4m wheel recovered

Been in touch with cobywheel.com about doing a alcantara wrap on my well worn z4mc's steering wheel. He's stated that he has a core but not a lot of time to make the pattern as he hasn't had much interest from z4m owners. Anyone else out there that might be interested in a leather or alcantara recovering option that affordable should let him know. Might get it done sooner...if I'm the only one, then I'll be waiting a while

I've been waiting since October of last year for him to use that same core to do a wheel for me...

Let's convince people to bombard him then....or perhaps we'll need to take matters into our own hands.

Wonder if he would take a non m multi function wheel as a core?
Mine is really worn.

If he just made one for people to see, then there would be more interest.

i'd definitely be interested, preferrably around the $100-$200 range. any higher than that and you might as well buy a new one and sell your old one, and you've spent about the same.

now if we could just find a way to replace the damned plastic buttons and surrounds for less than a ridiculous amount of money.

That's not bad - a local dealer wanted more than that just for the replacement trim pieces. I'd definitely be in 195$

I'm in too. My dad's coupe has a perfect wheel, but my roadster was originally from Texas and could use a recovering, preferably in Alcantara with a red 12 o'clock stripe.

EDIT: If this could be set up sooner than later that would be ideal because the car is sitting in the garage for the winter right now anyway...

turnaround time on this is going to be huge. most likely no one is going to have an extra wheel to use in the meantime

That's why you have to send in your core after you get the new wheel, or everything stops.

He got back to me and he is about half done with my wheel, though he has been very busy with other orders. I'll link him this thread so he can see the interest.

Rated M, so how does this work? , he sends you a new (refurbed) wheel, you swap it out and send him your one? I guess once your wheel is received, some money (deposit) would come back right?

Oh yeah I'd love alacantra with a red 12 o'clock stripe... Drool..

Exactly; you pay for the wheel plus the core. Once received, you can send back your old wheel and get a refund for the core.
