New Member, new car
Been a fan of BMW's for a few years now ever since a good friend saved my soul from the eternal damnation that was modifying pickup trucks. I started 6 years ago with an e30 318is that I newbishly crashed. After a few rusted out penance e30's, 2 relationships, lots of long days in the garage and thousands of dollars later I ended up with the current crop. Some money has been rerouted from what would have been mods into drivers ed, trackdays, and some autocross sessions in the mix, I don't want to make the same mistake twice.
Z4MC (daily) 78,000KM and totally stock. Just performed an inspection 2 and popped in some new ///M mats front and rear. Only upcoming changes are wheels and factory alarm retrofit. Beyond that the car will likely see nothing more than oem maintenance and a ton of mountain roads. 1990 332i (Hooligan #1) 236whp/217lb-ft 1997 S52B32 w/functional OBD2, 12lb singlemass flywheel, Getrag 260 transmission, tall X5 "shortshift" lever, e36M3 steering rack, rebuilt 3.73 25% lock LSD, H&R Sport springs, Koni SA, Bimmerworld 22/19mm swaybars, IE front strut brace, 2.5" single Mandrel exhaust w/custom downpipes Refinished leather sport seats, Momo montecarlo wheel, stock premium sound stereo with JVC H/U, Ronal 15x7 Ronal LS w/ Yoko S-drive (street), 15x7 RD RGP #1 w/ Toyo RA1 (track), 15x7 RD RGP #2 w/ Michelin Xice3 (winter) 2008 KTM SuperDuke 990 (Hooligan #2) +2 rear sprocket, Akrapovic slip-on cans, eurospec headlamp, Pazzo levers, full emissions delete, Rottweiler airbox and reflashed. Anyone able to offer input on my debate between a set of V710's and Apex PS7? 18x8.5 and 18x9.5. I know the Apex is the better wheel, but the VMR Hyper Silver with the black basecoat looks fantastic in person, how do the Apex compare?? |

Get Apex. I had V710s on my non-M. They look nice but they're heavy. Apexs are nice and light. And I think, at least from a quick google search, VMR's hyper silver is the same as Apex's hyperblack. I have hyperblack. Nice and shiny but not in your face like a chrome finish.

You have great taste! Seeing pics of the Superduke makes me want to ride!
If you want VMR and want light weight, their new flow form V810 takes the cake. Personally, I prefer this style to the Apex wheels styles available and now that VMR flow form performance is on par with Apex + a bit cheaper, it's a win-win.
