Are these slot between the 500 and the 510? How do they do on street vs track. slow vs highway speed?

These are a separate line with damping developed by Muller. Fortune sells these systems for exotics and luxury cars because the damping is designed to improve performance with high ride quality. The MSC-1 has fitments for Porsche, BMW, Benz and Ferrari models not offered in the other lines. I opted for these after discussing my options with Fortune tech support. I took my M to autox events occasionally and wanted to do some track days but predominantly drove on the street. I wanted adjustability and improved ride quality over stock, Fortune advised this system over the 510. Like the 510 the MSC-1 can also be retrofitted to 2-way with remote reservoirs for serious track use. The MSC-1 package also included Swift springs, an upgrade for the other series.

http://www.fortune-auto.com/msc1way.htm

Ride quality was improved although still firm. Handling was much sharper than stock components with a near-identical alignment, less body roll but still compliant over bumps, better control under throttle. No squeaks rattles or other annoyances sometimes experienced with coilovers setups. Also tons of ride height adjustability if that's your thing, the settings in my car for sale thread were no where near lower limits. I was pleased with the system and Fortune as a company.

Would you consider it cushier than OE when its on the softer damping setting and flatter and in a more controlled manner in your AutoX or back road scenario? I would not go lower than stock if I don't have to. I've been looking at their 510 with 8k/9k softer springs for street/track reasons

thanks.

Yes in soft damping setting it soaks up bumps better than stock components, certainly flatter under cornering loads during sporting driving. You could run this setup at stock ride height or higher if desired, adjustment range is wide. As you can see in the photos the spring rates are 8k/10k, this was also per Fortune recommendation based on my use.

Garage List
I'll take these, if they are still available. I'm down in Naples, so can meet up - presume some discount for no shipping?
