Z4M Coupe Regrets?
First...I have to admit to being a lurker on this board for quite sometime and want to hear opinions from those on the board who intensely deliberated on their purchase of a Z4M coupe. I like the limited production of the car and 'cult' appeal of the vehicle. I am in search of a vehicle that will bring smiles to my face 10 years into my ownership experience. ...And while I believe this will be possible in a z4M, I wanted to hear from those who currently own this vehicle.....or for that matter, those who have also owned z3m coupes as well.
Thanks in advance for your replies Todd |

+100, the S54B32 is a marvel, probably one of the finest engines ever made in any car on the road. I don't think you'll find many that regret their ///M vehicle, coupe or otherwise.

Although I have the roadster, I contemplated the Coupe, Only after driving both and driving the roadster at night that makes it feel like the coupe but you have the freedom to retract the roof I went for the bleedin obvious, But I love my car, Like really, LOVE my car, Don't love the rapid depreciation, Who saw that coming on a 60 thousand dollar car but hey, you live and learn,

I'm not letting go of this car until either
A. It dies and there's no way to revive it. or B. The world runs out of oil.

I really like my Coupe too. It is leased and part of me wants to just keep it.... If only it had the latest Navigation and it integrated with my iPhone.... properly....

Wow!!!!! Like a bunch of fanatical gun owners and never letting your keys be pried from your cold dead hands..... Now that we've gotten this far, were you enamored /tempted by other cars or were your hearts set on the z4m from day 1?

I looked at the Cayman S, I thought it really nice inside, the fit and finish were top notch, and along with the excellent mechanics and being of the P family, it was a close candidate ... until I drove the Z4MC.... and yes, some of us are fanatical gun owners too.

i fell in love with the base z4 when it first came out...then in 2006 when the ///M version was releashed...and then the coupe...holy crap! I had to have one.
something about the sharp lines and prowling stance that got me hooked. flowing yet angular shape, long bonnet and rearward cockpit...looks like it's back on its haunches and about to pounce. and it drives better than it looks. gotta love it. |

You guys rock. Talking with a dealership later this week on an unsold 2007 unit. Honestly looking for a great deal considering the depreciation on many of the cars out there for sale. Will keep you posted on my progress. Do you think a price high $30's in unreasonable for a 2-year old car?

I've actually been tempted to stray lately. I just drove a Z06 and the performance was mind boggling.
If I knew the economy was going to be this crappy I would have waited. There are so many deals right now on cars that a 997 or a Z06 is easily within my reach now. They were not last year. My z4M may be traded in soon. It's a great car but I may want something faster. The z4M is a wonderful car. I don't regret buying it. However it just may be time for something faster. This only thing I don't like about the Z4 is the crappy cup holders that keep breaking. |

I think most owners will concede that the car isn't for everyone, and there doesn't seem to be a middle ground. People either really like them, or get rid of them quicky. |

Same here, and already thinking of the checklist I'll need to get to in order to keep this car for a long, long time. Puts a smile on my face every time, every mile I drive. Which is a lot of smiling, really.

No regrets whatsoever. Best car I've ever owned. Just need a sister E46 M3 for a daily driver and I'm set. One S54 is not enough!
