which wheels do you think would look best on an imola red M with performance in mind?

Looking to get new wheels and want light weight for obvious performance, but curious what you guys think would look good in 18"?? I value everyones opinion! My car is an imola red M roadster and also looking to upgrade brakes with red brembo brake calipers. Thanks guys

Volk G2, Volk TE37, Advan RZ-DF... These wheels are extremely light and very attractive.
If you want to spend less you could always go with Apex ARC-8.

My wife would say yes for me, I would rather spend up front for the best and only spend once if I can help it.

I was kinda leaning this route. The other variable for me is weight, because I'm a performance slut what is your personal opinion with black wheels? I thought that black wheels would look nice against the imola red and red brembo brakes

Haha yeah that's unfortunately true, they're more of a endurance motorsport wheel so they add a few lbs to be stronger.
The whole black with a polished lip thing is SOOOO played for me, but it would look good on a red car no doubt.

Heard nothing but good things about the forgestar wheels (VERY well priced, good quality) but I'm not sold on the styling.

Weight being a factor and cost being not a huge deal you'd probably find something from the japanese companies Volk or Advan.

I personally think that black wheels are played out and you can't even appreciate the wheel.

Thanks for all the great input guys! have any of you noticed a seat of the pants change when going from stock to light weight wheels? I know black is almost over the top, but I still like the look against some colors...red being one

Nah, it's not that big a difference. The stockies actually aren't all that heavy from what I remember. Unless you do like...14" forged wheels which weigh maybe 10 lbs. each LOL....the difference here isn't so much in the wheels though.
Here's an example:
my 19" TE37's only weigh 19-some lbs. even for the largest wheel out back, which is sized 19x10.5 +22. But the highly-reinforced 19" tire is what kills the overall weight combo. 19" tires look thin, but due to the thinness, they're quite reinforced. So they are actually pretty darn heavy.
Whereas a 14" wheel may be 10lbs. each, and is only 9 lbs. lighter than my wheel only. However, the weight savings is in the tires that mounts up on it. 14" tires LOOK big, but they're probably a ton lighter than my 19" tires =]

So basically most of the difference is in the tires. So just get some nice tires and alignment and a set of "lightweight" (under 20 lbs.) wheels and you'll be set

BBS CHs are heavy... and you can't get concave te37s 18" up front since you'd probably get squared fitment 18x9.5 et22

Apex ARC-8 in satin black. I'll put up some pics once mine arrive. I'm a stingy government worker that doesn't buy anything I haven't thoroughly researched... although since I flew F-18's, I will never buy anything that say "F14"... the Forgestars DO look good. My money is on Apex because they cater only to BMW and their business depends on us, I appreciate their honesty in regards to strength testing, and their price for spun-forged wheels is unbeatable. It's a business-only suit look. Those that know, appreciate it. Those that don't - F 'em.

yea black wheels on your red car with a red caliper BBK would look like sex. i would like to see gloss black or piano black. i like the simpler chunky 5 or 6 spoke wheels in black.
