E85 spring differences
Does anybody know the difference in the springs used on the E85 standard vs M Sport vs M.
On real OEM there is nothing noted for springs front or rear. |

For springs there is a different calculator.
There is no such thing as a "standard" sping. The partnumber (and stiffness) depends on the configuration of the car. (So a 3.0i with auto transmission, hifi pack and navpack can have different springs than a manual with less options. It depends on the weight of the car. Therefore never replace 1 spring that you got 2nd hand, always get a pair.) However, the partnumber that is generated by the spring calculator tool doesn't give information about it's thickness, or #of coils or lenght etc. Sadly BMW has stopped its service for online part lookup about 2 years ago and therefore the spring calculator is not easily available anymore. Sites like realoem don't have that spring calculator.
