Hankook V12 tire
I know from time to time the tire discussion threads make an appearance but i'm specifically interested in this tire. I see solid reviews from a variety of places and i'm only interested in a summer tire as I garage the Z4 in the winter
1) Who out there is running these? They a great bang for buck tire? 2) Hankook has an $80 rebate right now...any chance of beating ~ $725 for four tires with any other comparative brands i'm making the switch to non-runflats and this price for all 4 seems too good to pass up

I think Tirerack and Discount Tire Direct will be your best bet. If you sign up for Fatwallet, they also have 3-5% or something on Cash Back. Not bad... |

I replaced my run-flats with Hankooks for a summer-only tire and I have no complaints.

ok cool, liking the feedback here!
tire shops like Discount Tire typically have Labor Day sales? i'd like to squeeze the summer out of the runflats before I ditch them

If you've got lots of life in the run flats, sure. But if not, trust me - the sooner you pop the Hankooks on, the sooner you will wonder why you waited at all.

I did a DE with a set in late April and they really impressed me. FAR more grip than I ever thought was possible.

I had them for a while on my M coupe and I had difficulty getting all of the front end vibrations out of the tires (balance). When I switched to Michelin PSS, that problem went away.

My friend bought a set of these for his Z4 M coupe. They were horrible when making about a 120 degree turn they felt like jello and so soft the side walls felt as if they was going to colapse. we did they same turn same speed many times with other tires and they never failed like this.I even did it in my coupe with Falkens on them and they held up better. Just my experience with these thought id share.

I promise, do a search and you'll find more threads about these tires than anything else on this site i bet! haha
that's how used they are. *I* have a set. They're quiter than the KDW's i had in terms of road noise (75-85 mph, since that's what I cruise at). Sticky around the track. you're getting a rebate to boot? yeah, definitely get these.

I'm on my second set. Great tires - esp for the money. I would note that they seem to me to take a couple of hundred miles to wear off the mold release compound (i.e., they seem slippery for that period of time).

Great tires. I have them on 2 of my cars and they do not disappoint. The sidewalls are not very stiff, so they are comfortable for street uses, and offer a good bit of performance for occasional track as well.
Annnddd they look awesome in 275's haha

Get them.
I ran them on my E46 when I had it, no complaints. I now run the Hankook RS3s as my autocross/track tire...and it's grip galore. For a DD tire, it would be overkill. When I chew through my current DD tires (Toyo T1Rs which were on the car when I bought it) I will be throwing on V12s. |

I was pleasantly surprised to see this thread. I have an HPDE in August and I was debating whether to use my old Continental SportContacts (M3 OEM) with about 5/32s tread or use my newer Hankook Ventus V12s. I wasn't sure how a full tread V12 would be on track, but it sounds like they should be ok (they have less then 5k miles on them.) I'll probably use the V12s on the M Coupe for the HPDE and just use the Contis for regular street driving on the M3.

I've got them on my E92 M3 and my Z4 M coupe. Seem to be a great value for a summer street tire.

My first car so also my first tires so I have nothing to compare to but I haven't noticed anything bad, also they were cheap compared to other options.

Just got a set about 2 weeks ago. The switch from runflats to these has definitley been worth it. The V12's are very grippy and quiet. I'm very happy with them so far.

I loved mine. Granted they are no Super Sports but great bang for the buck and good wear. I would put them as a top 5 non-track tire.

Discount Tire with free shipping I bet would be the cheapest option. Initial price higher but with free ship they are cheap IIRC.
