I love mine. I wasn't a fan of black till this car. It changes the whole look. It is a challenge to keep looking clean though. In my opinion, it's a very small price to pay for what you get out of it. That black Coupe is just crazy cool.

Once you go black...
For me, Black is just aggressive hotness.... Sexy fast. If you have the time and patience for it.... I've owned 2 black cars, each of them ended up with the dreaded swirls which became very visible in the sun light.

Sapphire black will be less needy than Jet Black due to being a metallic, but any dark color shows dust and dirt easier than lighter colors. I'm guessing blue will be easier, but still will show dirt. It's all personal preference. If black moves you, go for it, but if blue's your thing, it's certainly a gorgeous color as well. At the end of the day you are the one living with it. If blue moves you, don't let anyone on here sway you. Go for it, it's a great car.
Most of the folks on here will lean towards manual. I wouldn't want a sports car with an auto, but that's me. |

It sounds like your heart is telling you to go with the blue. So go with the blue.
As I stated in the other thread you posted: http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=598555 (Im Looking For A Z4 Coupe Which Colour Is Best To Get) "Every damn Zed looks good no matter what the color... No matter what color you get, your gonna fall in love with it and then you will become color-biased like the rest of us." All of us that have replied on this thread have really nice cars and we like the colors we chose. We are also respectful enough to appreciate color combinations that we did not choose. However, I don't think there are many of us that would have passed up the black one if it had been available to us when we bought our cars. Maybe you need to take other things in consideration besides color. Such as mileage, service records, warranty, etc. Good luck on your decision!! You will be happy with whichever one you decide on. Also, I apologize if I sounded harsh earlier. I have had mine for 11 months now. Even though I bought mine from a large BMW dealer, I wish I would have been stuck with the predicament you are in but I still have a pooh-eating every time I drive it. I am a Roadster kinda guy but that doesn't mean I don't like looking at, and drooling over coupes too. No matter what color they are!! Hell... stop trying to decide. Buy 'em both.

I have just been down to see them both as they are both at the same garage, they are both 07 plates both sport models with same spec both full bmw history . The black one is 07 plate manual one owner 52k on the clock and it has just been serviced at bmw dealer and has had 4 new bridgestone tyres put on all round and new front and rear brake pads and discs and it is £13500 the blue one is 07 plate 28k on clock auto and that is £15500
so 2k more expensive . Now looking at them both again in real life next to each other, the black one does look better it sort of looks more expensive and more slick so taking things into consideration, the black one looking better it being 2k cheaper and being manual and having the piano black dash which was an expensive extra i have decided im having the black one Last edited by allpine99; 10-20-2011 at 06:26 AM.. |

I'd go with the black coupe with the black and white interior. The black and white leather is hot. I'm a big fan of the color blue on my jeans, shirts and other clothing but for some reason I've never been a big fan of blue cars. Black, white and silver cars are my top color choices for car exteriors. Yellow and red I can even do. But not blue for some reason.
All colors aside, you gotta go with manual transmission. For me, that's just a no brainer. I agree with Loogey Clapp. I'd jump all over that black one. |

I know you will be happy with your choice. You have a very unique coupe. If you go to a meet, you will see others just like the blue one. However, yours will stand out because I doubt anyone will have an interior like yours!! Many here are envious. I know I am. We look forward to hearing about your adventures in your new car. Take care and enjoy.
