contemplating of selling....
The situation
I'm driving an e90 as a daily and the z4m as my weekend car. The problem is the z4 averages 4k mi a year, and that's 5k miles of going out of my way to drive it miles. I find it a waste of car to sit there so I'm thinking of consolidating to one car. it still hurts to think of selling it so it's a big maybe and a theoretical question. So which car gets the vote from my fellow e85/6 enthusiasts(must seat 4)? e90 m3 e93 m3 1 m boss 302 sti ehhh evo ehhh any others? these are the cars I thought of but am going to stay away from... e60 m5 cts v 997 e92 m3 gtr here's a most recent pic of my beloved M that I'm having the hardest time justifying to sell

E90 M3 - super comfortable, great performance, but will feel huge and heavy compared to your Z.
: E93 - way too heavy at ~4,000 lbs 1M - too small for 4 adults STi - hell of a lot of fun to drive, no way near as comfortable as the E90 M3 nor as much room, a lot cheaper, and a somewhat choppy ride. (I have a 07 LTD as a DD.) Not an Evo or Mustang fan--and you're going to pay through the nose for the BOSS when you can get a nice CPO M3 for probably less. The E90 M3, 2009+, with EDC, is without a doubt the most comfortable car I've ever been in. Wicked fast too. If seating 4 adults is a requirement and having a good amount of trunk space is too it's the best bet. You can probably find a nice CPO one too which is the way I'd go (CPO is a must with DCT as we don't have enough long-term data on that.) |

Very observant, why yes it is.
And hey hey if you do decide to sell your car I'd pick it up in a second. and also I'd suggest the e90 M3 for practicality, unless you want to stick with a vert then get the e93.

LOL!!
I should just make this a classifieds as well I drove the m3 6 spd, evo, sti, and they were also the cars I was considering when I bought this car, only now I have 2 kids The e90 is the only car I'm taking seriously for a trade currently, so I'm going to go for an extended test drive later today and hopefully try to make up my mind... And also, I traded my 997 for the e85 so it won;t make any sense going back, especially with the QC issues I had with that car @ 3500mi nikki, I've got a couple friends that want dibs, but I'll contact you first, since they will most likely sell the car in less than 6 month...The best incentive about this car is that it's got extended maintenance coverage till 2013 and 100k mi and I'm only @ 22k a better look at the front

that's crossed my mind, but I'd like to get something newer for my daily, although I wouldn't mind getting that as a garage queen

It's just a bit pretentious for the neighborhood I work at and the lack of rear seats would mean I would need to keep my second car. My daily before the x5/e90 was this LOL....

Your roadster is one of the nicest IMO, I think you could sell it in a heartbeat.
That said, The Laguna Seca 302 Boss nubers were very impressive

thanks ob1! I'm just a newb compared to your car...and yes that boss 302 is very impressive. I've seen a couple at the dragstrip where I run and they are putting down times equal to the z06's mod for mod! but it's a ford and I hate my dealership very typical hill billy service manager and sales men and they don't have any in stock...when I went for a drive in the GT, regardless of how good the reviews and stats show it still felt rubbery and as if I was sitting on top of the roof of my z4m... I'll have to hold judgment till I drive the 302 though. The M3 seems to be the best compromise though
