There is just no substitute for top-down driving....nothing. The air, view, experience is incredible. I drove to work recently in 23F weather....top down - dressed warm, turned on the heated seat and love it!!!!

Isn't the roadster appx 35lbs lighter? If yes, this does assist with lowering the M's center of gravity as well.

Also, the BMW convertible top is far superior to others; it has a liner, and a perfectly formed plastic panel from the windshield area out towards the seating that makes the interior very quiet when the top is up.
