Good point about the torque...

I recall from last GB that some were over tightening them.
With the isolation feature you don't want to squeeze them too tight.
As long as the lock washer is flattened then use a little 'blue' loctite if you feel you want to.

Yeah, i was surprised that my RE tran mounts called for 15 ft lbs only - this is so they do their job for vibration isolation. Don't know how much of that the hangers are doing vs strictly support...

Hope I'm doin it right...

The hangers fit great and allow much more positioning flexibility for the tips. These are picts of the passenger side, still working on the drivers side.

As you can see, it would have been a LOT easier had DKF just used the same thread pitch on the mount as the stock (and aftermarket) nut that was welded on. I wouldn't have had to completely remove the muffler and hacksaw/dremel off the nut...

Sorry I'm new to this but which nut did you have to dremel off? Got my mounts today.

The ones mounted on the rear mounting brackets of the mufflers(the single ones closest to the tips(rear of the car). Not all mufflers come with them, depends on the brand.

Could have easily swapped the mounts with the mufflers attached had DKF just used the proper thread pitch. Still torques me that I had to remove the mufflers for something that could have been solved so simply...

Those isolators are not available in the correct thread pitch.

Bummer.. Can't the nuts just be dremeled off with the muffler still bolted to the car, just hanging down?

No idea on the supersprints, I have Stromung and they needed to have the nuts removed. Took only a couple minutes with a Dremel, mfflers removed.

If you can get the Dremel in there go for it. It only takes a couple minutes to remove the muffler and cut the nuts off, its not major surgery.

yeah, it's not that bad. My problem was that my dremel couldn't get at the right angle, so I had to use a hacksaw for part. just a little sweat and grunting...

No nuts had to be removed/cut with Stromung. Pretty easy install.

Well that's really interesting, my set of Stromungs certainly had nuts that needed to be removed.

I bought mine new 3 years ago .. maybe they changed the design? I was expecting to have to cut something but I was pleasantly surprised when I didn't have to.

Your lucky! Although it really wasn't much of an issue lopping them off, for those that are so blessed.

Cheers

I have the Rogue Engineering Exhaust paired with the DKF hangers. It def helped with centering the exhaust tips but I can't seem to get it to sit closer to the exhaust opening. Anyone else having this issue?

It's mainly in the muffler to X-pipe connection adjustment.
