Now I'm thinking the V would make it looks like it was 2 pieces glued together. Maybe the regular pattern is better since the roof already has good hard lines.

haha..... decisions decisions.
I was thinking along the same line, I didn't want it to look like two pieces, but IMO the V weave solves that.
I think it will be an awesome & unique look.

...at least you'll get a chance to see Vinny's before you have to decide.

In person it looks awesome, totally gives it that "craftsmanship tough".

Here's an idea of how it can be properly executed.

Very true. The image that ONELOVE has posted is made of the original method of careful overlap and matching the tow lines perfectly, which I've done and even that looks super cool.

Also...that picture of the Koenigsegg contains 4x4 Twill.

Something to consider for those interested in my CF parts as they develop >>

a)-Specialty cloths-V Weave,Hybrid CF/Kevlar colors such as red-blue-wht-slvr.
---I purchase enough materials to make full sets to match for many additional sets.

b)-That way....hoods,hatch's and roofs can match exactly. No worries.

I will probably be off the grid for a few weeks as I travel through the Midwest on business.

The High-heat mold is being shipped to the Optical Polycarbonate Mfr. so I can meet with them while in the state to go over details.

I just didn't want folks to think the thread had parked/died/flaked.

When I return after the 3rd/Aug. I will begin the CF roof sub-structure mold build now that I have the underside prepped for plugging.

Cheers,Vinny

Okay, I can't fight it, and since it looks like track days may be out (heat/work) until Sept I can allocate some of those funds to this....

My only issue now is telling the 'Kitty I've taken the plunge on this. Not that she'll say "no", it's just that she may have made up her mind already too. That and she keeps saying "that CF roof would sure look good on Imola Red"....
