Umnitza ProjectorZ4
I know threads like this are like beating a dead horse but I don't think I've seen these brought up in any of the headlight threads.
Came across these while looking for headlights for a friends bimmer, it looks like they're built off of the spyder lights but you can "upgrade" them and even get LED rings. Curious if upgrading them would make it easier for those with oem Xenon to do the swap. Anyone have any experience with the Umnitza versions? http://www.umnitza.com/projectorz4-w...es-p-5850.html

They look like they are the same Sonar/(Pulsar?) Spyder headlight housing with more lighting options. The original base price is about the same as what you would pay for their housing to begin with and this looks to be just upgrades before shipping. Their company would likely do a good job with the various lighting aspects after opening up the headlight, but they have to do just that and then the seal comes into question.
The plastic on these headlights has been problematic but many members have corrected this with simple headlight protection films. The rings themselves may actually be best suited by adding your own LED substitute for the bulb that it comes with (as some other members have done). As far as the actual Xenon, that's where I might draw the line, but they could very well do a great job with the retrofit into these housings. All I can say for sure is that they look very familiar. |

My first thought was exactly that. Seems like they just build an ultimate "spyder" headlight. They do offer the film as an option but I have seen film cause headlights to crack as well.
The LED halo option is a great choice as well, giving a little more peace of mind. Are there a lot of problems with resealing these? I've done headlights in the past and used the clear silicon sealant and never had issues.
