I didn't realize that Z4M seats were that nice. Quite the opposite, the standard, non-M Sport seats in my Z4 are the worst seats I have ever seen in a sports car. .
I read an article a few years back (I think in the Roundel) that said that BMW purposely put flat seats (low bolsters and flat bottoms) in the early years of the Z4 and the 6-Series convertibles sold in the USA because they expected the average person buying these vehicle to be slightly more "rotund". This begs the question: Has anyone bought the parts and converted a standard seat to a M Sport seat? I've been told that both seats share the same frame, so all you have to do is swap the cushions and covers. Here are the parts: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...24&hg=52&fg=10 |

Have you seen the price, just on leather for the M seats? $3400USD
Buy you a set of used M seats, they are bolt on. I sold mine to a E46 Touring ownerfor $1000USD, (they are bolt on the e46 as well)

Ok who's gonna be the first to strip out stock seats of the non-essentials, and strap them onto a fixed aluminum mount?
