Halo Bulb

The stock OEM one is pretty yellow and dim. Has anyone replaced these with after market ones to give them a much newer look like the new Bemers that are after 2011? Im talking about the fake projector ring on the inside of the xenon.

There is a thread on one the boards about this. The stock bulbs are 10W and there is a 20W version(I have a set but have not installed them). They are quite a bit brighter, but nobody has left them in long enough to know if they will damage(i.e. melt) the housing. Someone tried an LED bulb and it set the bulb out indicator off.

I have a set of Halo bulbs in my fog lights. Have had them on 5 months now and they are still going strong. So far they seem like a quality bulb.

What are "halo" bulbs? Is that a brand? Is the light shaped differently than the stock fog light bulbs?

Ah, I think I was confused by "halo." I have Halo brand H11s in my fog lights. It sounds like what he's looking for is the halo style of lighting assembly. Halo brand is a quality bulb though.

Your options afaik are: tekarbon (send them your lights, they modify them and send them back), do it yourself see this diy, or buy ebay headlights.

I'd like to do tekarbon, but since my car is a DD i'd have to get a second set of lights or borrow a car from someone.
