Would you fix wrong emblems?

This morning on the way to work, I saw an interlagos blue M on the freeway. It had a big Z4 emblem on the left and the M emblem on the right of the rear trunk. Maybe the owner put it on?

I agree, I wouldn't touch someone elses car at all. What they do with it is there business, not ours.

Now if he is referring to the M being on the right side like all other M cars then thats fine IMO. I run the M emblem on the right side like my M3.

For me it looks out of place on the left side.

No i didnt mean touch someone elses car. Like OEM look or even remove the emblem completely. I think it just doesnt look right if its not how it looked from the factory

only emblems that bother me are those that don't belong there. every morning i see one bimmer, from 3 to 7 series that slap "m" badges on n their non-m. there's also this one guy who has AMG slapped on his e350, and ebay chrome all over the pillars...

+1, The OE position looks completely out of place.

Maybe the E36/46 was a M-sport?

I have never understood this, putting a "M" or a "AMG" on the back of your car if it is in fact not. In south florida I see it all the time, what do you do when a real one pulls up next to you at a light? I would hang my head down in shame LOL

My car reads just as it should-

Z4 AMG dickbutt 3.0

Doesn't sound like the badge is false, as by report it is an M (hard to miss 4 exhaust pipes!).

Oddly, during my recent (successful!) search for Z4M Coupe #2, I came across what seemed to be a decent example at a BMW dealership in California. Except, the badges were as described above - a Z4 badge on the left, M badge on the right. I really didn't care about about the badges, but what I WAS concerned about the possibility that the car's trunk/hatch was damaged and a used Z4 hatch put on, followed by the M badge. Since I subsequently found my car, I didn't pursue the answer (was going to have a body shop inspect for paint thickness, blending of paint, etc). Strange that another M out there has the same badge configuration.

^

Saw a poser today as well.
I pulled up beside a red E46 330i on my way back to the office. (in my DD not the coupe)

I was almost going to roll down the window and say what a nice M he had.
At least this guy still had his original badge on the car, so I decided not to yank his chain.

Saw a pickup the other day with loads of Pep Boys Chinese chrome and a big GTR sticker on the back window. Pure brilliance.

Jophish17...

that picture is priceless! It actually seems funny to have M badges on things clearly not...perhaps an Ford Escort or old Yugo or something.
