Rear window

Rear window ... not the Hitchcock variety ... but the coupé!

On my 'new' Z4 coupe, the rear window has some 'scaling' marks on it, at the very bottom of the window. My guessss ... is that this is caused by water pooling at the bottom of the window after it rains, and the previous owner not drying it off.

My original Z4 coupe (which I owned from new) doesn't have the scaling at the bottom of the window ... maybe because I always used to wipe off any water.

I tried cleaning off the scale marks at the bottom of the window with some CLR (Calcium, Lime remover ... removes scale marks on glass or sinks etc) ... but it didn't do anything. Nothing good ... nothing bad ... marks are still there.

Any ideas?

my hatch window was scratched by the previous owner and i just figured i would live with it until i got a chance to purchase a new window. Outside of that, if those heavy duty cleaners wouldn't work i doubt anything will. perhaps use a small amount of degreaser and see if that works. just a thought...
