New Remus Exhaust and Hyperblack wheels

Couple of new mods to share, new Remus Exhaust and I can't be any happier with it. Nice deep tone, no drone, and loud enough at WOT. It's been said here but clearly this is what should have come from the factory. I will report on it further after I put some more miles on it as I am sure the tone will change.
The look is also very very classy as you can see on pics. Pipe size is perfect and more in line with current E92 M3 with a rolled tip that is more prominent.
Also refinished the stock M Wheels in Hyperblack and I think they look much better. The high contrast and shine bring out a lot of design facets that you could not see with the regular silver paint.

Looks great

Are the Remus mufflers direct fit or are there cutting and welding required?

Shots of the whole car with the refinished wheels? How much did the refinishing set you back?

Had the wheels refinished by Wheels America. Did a great job for 140 per wheel including tax, and balancing. Will take more pics this week. Remus cans are direct bolt on very easy and quick. They are sounding better and better.

Over a grand for a pair of mufflers? I'd call that robbery.

I know what you mean. And remus is one of the cheaper exhausts on the market too. Eisenmann's and SS Powerloop run well north of $2k.

^+1. axle-back mufflers for the z4m's aren't affordable by any measure cos of the car's low volume production. a pair of kreissiegs (including x-pipe) costs about US$6k after taxes and import charges.

Unfortunately there are very few exhausts for the Z4M, and messing with "experimental" and "improvised" exhaust systems can lead to actual HP loss.
That is the case with a lot of the mods available for the S54 engine.
Plus this is an expensive sports car it deserves an exhaust system with quality build and looks.
I bought my Remus exhaust only for the bigger and nicer looking tips, tucked in cans instead of stock hanging ones and of course better sound quality. If I got a couple of horses extra, especially with my tune, that's a bonus.
Overall I think that the Remus System is one of the best blends of looks, sound and price for our cars.

Too bad you don't live closer so we could put your theory to the test. I've got a couple of magnaflows with some awesome looking tips and she runs insanely good (and sounds good too). Bet ya I didn't lose any power, in fact, I gained some up top at 7500rpm where the torque dropped with the stock cans. Can't feel that anymore. Oh and I paid a lot less than a thousand dollars.

Sorry man but these exhaust manufacturers are stealing you guys moneys. For reals.

Same reasons I went with the Remus. While I agree with tekmoe that $1K is a lot of money for 2 mufflers, I wanted to be sure that fit and finish would be perfect and that it would be a simple bolt on that can be changed back when I sell the car. To me that was worth the extra $$.

You could have gotten that at any good muffler shop. My muffler guy welded flanges onto my Magnaflows so that I can revert back to stock if I want to. Fit and finish is perfect as well.

People that can afford our cars can afford $1k for a set of cans. It's not everyone's bag to hack together pieces whether it's functional or not. Now $3k, and u've got an argument
