M+Ultraleggera+Lowering=?
Just a quick question for those with M coupes or roadsters. Do any of you have O.Z. Ultraleggera wheels, using the O.Z. 20mm spacer in the rear? If so, is your car lowered at all? And if so again....any rubbing issues?

Try the wheels/tires forum, but the wheel's size and offset, and also tire size will play a role in determining any rubbing, so it would be helpful to include that information as well

That's why I was asking only those who have the same combination. The wheels only come with ONE offset, 40mm, and OZ provides a 20mm spacer, making the total offset 20mm....10mm further out than stock. I know it works fine with the car at stock ride height, as I've been doing that for two summers. Since OZ does not make any other size spacer for this fitment, I'm wondering if I have to contract another company to create a custom spacer, with the BMW hub size on one side, and the OZ hub size on the other, as they are NOT hub centric for BMW, if I lower the car even modestly.
That's why I asked on this forum, because it's not really a tire and wheel fitment question, but more of a "This exact configuration OZ sells only for the Z4M or M3" question. |

Standard rear tires, on an OZ wheel with a 40 offset, using the 20mm spacer provided by OZ. Gives me a total et of 20, with 255/40-18 tires. Lowered .4 inches in the rear on Eibach.
I think it's going to rub. Not certain, though. there's no rubbing currently, using factory wheels with my winter tires. I have a 15mm spacer I could use as well, but it's not exactly the same bore size as the OZ wheel, but IS hubcentric. Not sure how that would work either |

the width of the rim is important to know too. i currently have 19x10 et 25 wheels with 275/35/19 tires in the rear. i am lowered and have -2 camber and i have plenty of clearance. i can probably fit another 5mm spacer in the rear.
hope that helps

Depends.
Is -2 camber a lot? I don't like that extreme camber look I see kids riding around with, just so their cars can be slammed. Tire life is important to me as well. The 25 offset seems to be the magic number. When I had VMR wheels, at 22 offset, they rubbed just a hair when the car was lowered. The OZ Ultraleggeria rim width is 9, I believe. Same as the factory wheel. |

Yes. Thanks. I already knew that, as I've been running that combination in the Summer for two years. You can see what I mean, then, about rubbing in the rear, even with moderate lowering. They look great, but they DO stick out half an inch further than stock.
