Grom usb install and quick review

Some details: 2006 Z4 with dsp, no Bluetooth, cd changer prewired. I purchased the grom usb for behind the dash install. Installation was very easy, I removed the center dash vents and radio, then unplugged the cd changer cable. I attached the positaps as instructed and plugged in the cable to the cd changer port and then ran the cable down to the access panel below the climate controls. I used some double sided tape to secure it, and then plugged in my iPhone 7. Fortunately, no coding was needed. I was able to get pandora, as well as internally stored music to play, with steering wheel controls and artist, song title and album all displayed correctly. Then I tried navigation and voice directions lowered the music when a nav command was issued, and then music returned to normal volume. Overall pretty happy with this, although I haven’t been able to figure out how to get calls routed through the car. I would definitely recommend this device!

I had mine for a while now and loves it too. The only disappointment I have with it is the displaying of the MP3 tags on the NAV screen - only display 10 characters on a single line. Why can't it do it the same method as the OE CD player?
