I had a 2010 1125r. One of the last 26 they built. It was used for their marketing shots on the Buell website. So where you see a white 1125r, that was mine. Great bike, a lot of fun to ride, but my back didn't like it so much. Ended up selling it to a guy in Seattle.

Self fabricating is a little more difficult to actually do AND get working license plate lights, but can be done. What is the model number for that Buell? I have some friends that are good at finding obscure bike parts

There are bracket removal kits out there. American Sport Bike has everything you can think of for that Buell.

Nice, well, guess I am not useful anyore, haha. Looks like a nice relocation as well. I like those ones better than the ones that relocate to the swingarm or places that are hard to see.

I kinda want to pick up a bike - figure it's cheaper all around than the M. Love the naked/streetfighter style bikes. Thinking the Street Triple or the Monster 696. But at 6'2" I may be a bit tall for the Monster.

If you weigh over 200, you are going to want something with at least a 1000cc's. Anything less will feel wimpy, especially in the low-end where a lot of your riding is probably going to be anyway.

For city riding, nothing beats a Speed Triple. This is my second one.

I'm about 175/180; tall and thin. And this would be my first street bike - though I had dirt bikes in the past. Don't want to get in over my head.

If you believe you have self-control, you can't go wrong with buying a bigger bike. A friend of a friend who just turned 21 a few months back bought a Yamaha R1 as his first bike. I would describe him as a very responsible individual and I've ridden with him numerous times and he's been doing great with it. Best advice I can give is take the MSFC (Motorcycle Safety Foundation Course) before you buy a bike.

A Suzuki SV650 and SV1000 are great bikes that can be found pretty easily on Craigslist. They have the torque down low, good midrange, and enough top end to get you into trouble if you aren't careful.

I've been riding on the streets for close to 12 years now and all I can tell you is motorcycles are extremely dangerous. I'm not sure why I keep riding - stupidity, maybe - but the addiction is much too great to stop.
