SoCal Track Day! Big Willow- BMW Xtreme 10/13
SoCal Track Day! Big Willow- BMW Xtreme 10/13
ExtremeSpeedTrackEvents will be at Big Willow on October 13th, and they said they will be hosting another BMW Xtreme event! With Trophies and prices for us BMW drivers hehe . Those who aren't BMW drivers...well of course they're welcome to come...but sorry you cannot participate in our competition :P. Let's take over the track! They will also have prizes like they did last time (a raffle). About ~$500 or so was given out last time. Not sure exactly what they will be giving out, but if I find out, I'll post it up Here is their flyer for the event: Driver's meeting is at 8:15, don't be late! Register here: https://www.extremespeedtrackevents....t-registration Price is only $110 Free with timing, with discount code "BMW13" There's also free lunch and free beginner's instruction (for everyone, not just BMW drivers) The last event was a blast; out of the 70 or so cars that showed up, more than half were BMWs, and more than half of those M3s! I'll do what I can to help answer questions, but PLEASE email them if you have a specific question. I'm not able to answer specific questions. I've just simply go a the track 2-3 times a month so I know a thing or two..but anything specific please address them directly: Mark@extremespeedtrackevents.com or go on their website. Here are some pics from previous events: The fastest E92 M3 in SoCal, R's Tuning's M3 driven by wwjd15: Yes most pics are of course of my car. If you have your own pics, you should post them up :P

Wish I could be there
I'd like to try out all of the different tracks in Cali. So far I've only been to Laguna, Thunderhill, and Buttonwillow. By the way, cool how the flyer uses a pic of an M coupe hah. Any idea who's car it is? |

Sucks!! Saturday only event!!!!!
This track is much faster than buttonwillow. My boss 302 could hit 145 on the front straight and turn 8 is a 125 mph turn for me. This would be a perfect course for my m6. Too bad....however, i just ordered my suspension for my m6, and I'll have brakes, wheels and tires for laguna in dec

They're awesome tires for the price, especially for 19" wheels, as all of the other good 19" tires are quite expensive ;( |

Had RE-11s previously. A bit more expensive tire, and perhaps a bit more grip. But i like the compromise with the NTO5s, cheaper and hopefully longer lasting

Yeah I had friends who ran the RE-11 for a while on his E92 M3, and from what I hear, it's only slightly better than NT05s; but at a significant premium. So in essence, RE-11s are not as good bang for the hard-earned bucks

I don't look for longevity when it comes to tires though. If they last me 2 days, I'm happy. I've never ran RE11s on my car, but I've had great experience with RS3s. NT05s I did for 1 day and didn't like them so I swapped.

Big Willow is "my track" lol. it's fun, i love the high speed of it. M3 roars non stop at high rpms. Quote:
Don't go to R comps. get 19in RS3s, they're not R Comps.

VMRs or APEX? about a $400 price difference.... APEX would take time to ship from NorCal, VMR can be picked up in SoCal I think they're what, 6-8lb difference? so $400 for like 24-32lb difference overall lol My fatass should lose 30lbs for $400? Anyone have experience with RS3s on an E89? only tracked my E89s with the stock runflats.. (pieces of shit tires..)

I need it for the 13th of Big Willow and another event later this year. That's probably going to be it I don't like tracking the Z4. The n54 is a great DD, but a shitty track engine. I am spoiled by the S65, so it bothers me to track using the N54. Not a fan of FI lol
