18" staggered setup - which is the best offset?
I've totally fallen in love with the new M6 style wheels and since my MV2's need a refurb anyways I think I'm gonna sell them instead and get new ones.
I like the wide look and I'm not concerned about MOT. I just don't want to do any mods or have rubbing issues. I have 3 choices when it comes to offset: 1: 18x8.5 ET20 - 18x9.5 ET25 - the cheapest choice (from a UK seller) - is this offset too agressive without messing with camber settings, rolling fenders and so on? 2: 18x8 ET35 - 18x9 ET37 - I have to get these from a non-EU country which means 25% import tax 3: 18x8 ET30 - 18x9 ET30 - most expensive choice - Everything costs too much here in Denmark Hope someone can help...links for EU sellers of these wheels will also be highly appreciated. |

Are you absolutely sure that option 1 is possible? Anyone who could confirm it? Will the wheels be positioned beyond the arches? I've tried to go through as many threads here as possible and I haven't seen anyone who has tried such a low offset on the front wheels... |

i can categorically tell you that the 8.5" et 20 front wheel absolutely won't work, it'll look stupid... and not stupid cool!!
the rear i really can't comment as I'm an ///M owner and our car accept much more rim up back....

Option one is going to rub on regular size tires. I've ran 18x8.5 et15 and I had to stretch my tires but when I was aired down it was perfect. Fortunately I have air so I didn't have to put up with rubbing.
Option three is what you want. Aggressive enough to look good but not deal with rubbing issues.

I guess it depends on what your consider to be aggressive for yourself, I've had buddies with 9 and 9.5 and would run occasionally. Can't let stuff like that bother you if you're trying to make your car look good. My camber used to be aggressive id go through tires like nothing but then again it looked sick
