*** Arqray Exhaust for Z4M ***

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds

Item Interest
Hi guys,

Up for sale is an Arqray exhaust for Z4M (coupe/roadster). I put about 5,000 miles on them, and the only reason for selling is because I am selling my car. This exhaust gives the car a nice aggressive deep tone, without being too loud. It's a very well made exhaust system. This is your chance to get a rare exhaust system for the Z4M in excellent condition for a great price. PM me if interested.

Asking: $1300 shipped

Great seller, very meticulous and honest.

I am tempted to snag these. They should go quick!

Once again sold out from under me. I really wish the mods would require people to post on the thread to determine order of who gets what.

Never had an issue with this but it is a good idea. I've worried a couple times about having an item sold out from under me though I always PM and reply to a thread when I'm interested.

I'm sorry to see that fdagen, really. I got a set of something a while back from under you... Still feel rotten about it. Sorry to see this happen again.

fdagen,

FYI, I was the person that purchased the item. I actually responded to the post with an IM to the seller about 7 hours before your post (1:56 a.m. Monday morning PST). So I think the seller was fair about the sale.

If I don't like the exhaust, I will consider you first in line as the next owner.

Lex, There would be no doubt if everyone posted on the original thread. Also, the seller was responding and answering my questions immediately after my post, so it must have still been fair game.

IM, or private mail in a /PUBLIC/ for sale forum should not be allowed. Pisses people off to no end.. just sayin.

Owner of a product can sell to whoever he wants. Third in line. 4th in line. His grandma.

On these forums it IS smart to PM and be ready to pay immediately.

This.

As someone who sells stuff online all the time, I get all to many emails/pms/etc. from people who are "definitely interested", "ready to buy" etc., who then fail to come through with the money. I'm sure fdagen was indeed ready to buy, but as a seller you get so many more people expressing interest than people actually ready to buy that holding stuff when you have someone else actually trying to pay you is often a losing game.

I agree, it would be nice if people also posted in the thread. But I understand that PMing feels like a safer bet as you know its going to generate an email to the OP thats going to sit in his inbox until he reads it.

The 1st person to pay gets the part, it's that simple to me. I'm so sick of tire kickers, or people who ask ten thousand questions then never even write back with a simple "thanks" after you take 20 minutes to answer their questions. The worst are people who demand 20 pictures of the item, then completely fall off the face of the earth once you send them the pics. If you don't want the item any longer, send a simple email saying you're no longer interested. It's easy and takes 5 seconds.

Honestly, people rarely treat me as well as I treat them in sale situations and over the years I've become quite jaded. Money talks.

I say it's fair game.
Seller has the right to sell to whomever they want.

If someone really wants a particular item that was sold to someone else, they can always message them in private and try to work out a deal.

Good pickup here! I don't think I would mind trading my SuperSprint Race for these

Guys, this forum is suppose to be about members helping other members out. I agree there are tire kickers. If you post a reply saying you want it. How hard is it you send the cash within a few hours. If they don't send them a quick note saying your going down the line to the next person. It will also help push buyers to buy if they know there a three people in line behind them. I am willing to bet that's what happened here. As soon as I posted he decided to stop waiting and pull the trigger.

so you done goofed. You should've kept your mouth shut and just PMd seller asking for Paypal info

It's okay man, not the end of the world by any means. You can still contact the buyer and see if he's willing to let it go. Or, there are other options out there if you REALLY need an exhaust mod.

Don't get me wrong, I see your frustration. I've been there before. But live and learn, right?
