detailed vt2 upgrade kit pics

ok s i finally finished.... ive literally just come in from HOPEFULLY sorting my little oil leak, turns out one of the o rings have got damaged on the oil cooler line im praying to god ive sorted i so i can finally enjoy my car...... if this hasnt sorted it!!! ill have another go!! lol anyhow i took loads of pics and did a mamoth clean up......
after three . somthing years of ownership and no salt usage or winter usage for that matter i was pleased to see it looks brand spankers underneath....... i wont be able to tell if ive sorted the leak until my next proper drive sunday :-) anyway enjoy the pics.
i must stress every single mod has been done with no and i mean no expense spared to keep the o.e look and feel, every single piece has been moved and moved again to get the oil look, im happy to say it made 500hp on normal pump fuel, with the high octane race gas i use this car make 515bhp all day long........ this car is insane..... lol........

the front oil cooler and intercooler, oil cooler is about double the size of the stock unit

the offending leaky part, i torqued this as tight as i dared, new orings installed, note ALL this i relocated from stock, looks perfect

im a stickler for detail, i cut down some rubbed to make a buffer for the oilcooler in the extremes of braking acceration.

setrab oil cooler

underside is CLEAN!!!!

conversion piece where the leak was/ hoping isnt anymore

mean

getting their now :-)

cleaned and blacked the undertray

looking good underneath

ess billet crank pulleys

up top

cleaning wheel well with oil splatter

intercooler can flow 700hp

insanely expensive gauges and pod, 3d design pod with stack pro stepper gauges and stack wideband, i spnt big here and it paid off, o.e look, fit and i can monitor whats happening with my motor, note where ive located power socket :-)

finally......

im using pilot super sport now, with a 265 rear, no traction problems, but the lower gears they really struggle, i can hear them chirping heavily as i accelerate, the cars a beast...... plain and simple.....

i LOVE the way the power comes in, i REally want to upgrade the hose clips to some proper ralleye style ones when the funds allow.

PLEASE god please let me have sorted the oil leak on my oil line conversion piece, oherwise the WHOLE front end needs to be stripped off again.

Geez hope it's sorted, taking the front end off everytime doesn't sound so hot.

What was the actual number to the wheel? You keep saying 500 crank - we don't care about crank numbers even if it's the "500 mark".

Thanks for your help. I am having the vt2 installed in my stock 06 Z4 r in a week at IND in Chicago. ESS has shipped the kit. Any suggestions as to "upgrades" to the stock kit that should be considered?

ESS shipped me the kit and i had to get it fitted at my ESS approved installer, honestly i really dont know why...... their MUST be some reason why they dont want home installs to be done, maybe something has to be done to ecu that they dont wish anyone to know about ?????

honestly, its a complete pain in the ass, but i guess these little niggles will happen, but if it happens again i will strip it down, AGAIN and try again, these things are sent to test us, it wont defeat me!! cant lie, its a giant PITA, we'll see what happens, please please let this be solved, but i had an issue getting the orings in place, so i wont be suprised if it leaks again, we will see :-)

DEFINATLY loose the ess hose clamps and buy some real deal tension type, i WISH i would have done this during the orginal VT1 install these ones need constant tightening.

new s/c recieved and installed, the car is running GREAT!!!
After new unit was put on, my boost gauge now reads 7.8ish Psi...... some im seeing an extra little boost, the car is so fast, so refined, great AFR numbers, great off boost MPG figures and tyre shredding performance....

ANY S/C car should get a vented bonnet..... the huge vortech unit acts as a giant radiator and really sucks up the heat, sometimes i cant touch mine its that hot :-/

my new setrab oil cooler keeps oil temps about -10 what i used to see on everyday driving and now maintains oil temp in hot weather much better, its rises ALOT slower even under the hardest of conditions.

if the t/c is left on the light is just constantly on.....
i really cant wait to get this thing to the track and kick some ass with it and Really push this vt2 kit......
i love the view from the front of the car with the intercooler peeking out, it just screams POWWWEEERR!!!!

the car is a hoot to drive... this kit puts this car into serious league performance.

its even fun to drive slow listening to the supercharger whistle and pop on light throttle openings, the subtle noises at low RPMs are really cool.... Throw the rpi on top and youve got a proper exotic noise, the rpi tone changed measurable after throwing on the Ess kits, infact @ the static tests it registers an extra 5DB.

if you go VT2 and use the car properly, make sure your brakes are uprated......

p.s also if you do this upgrade make sure you order new oil cooler line o rings otherwise it WILL leak!! lol
