wiring custom angel eyes..Ignition wire under hood...which one is it?!

I am wiring up some custom angel eyes I had put in my headlights and need to find the IGNITION WIRE to splice into under the hood. I have a 2007 bmw z4 coupe 3.0si, and I'm not sure which wire it is. I have a picture of an 06 M but the wiring is completely different. Could someone please shed some light and tell me which one it is. I'll post pictures up of the custom headlights when I'm finished wiring!
Thanks in advance!

I did my angel eyes about a month and a half ago, and can tell you how I wired them up. The ground wire is bolted down in the engine bay. As for the power wire, which side of the engine bay is yours routed?

If it's along the passenger side (like I did), then route the wire through the firewall via the rubber grommet, so that it appears by the fuse box behind the glove box. After the wire is pushed through I plugged it into an empty fuse slot. I believe it was unused slot #2. This one is a switched ignition wire. Angel eyes will always be on when the car is on.

If your power wire is routed on the drivers side, then you could tap into the DME wire inside the engine bay. Here are directions + pics for an e46, but a Z4 should be the same (see page 9):

This would also result in 'always on' angel eyes when the car is on. Personally I didn't want to fiddle with the DME wiring, so I opted for the interior fuse box method.

Hope this helps point you in the right direction. Good luck, and can't wait to see some pics when you're done. I ought to post up some pics of mine as well. Just haven't gotten around to it quite yet.
