Fair market value for used Style 103's?

A guy I know is selling a set of used style 103 wheels (apparently made by Ronal). Just the wheels, no tires. He used them in the winter and summer.

What would a fair price be for a set of these?

I know these wheels came with some Z85's so I thought you guys may have some good insight.

Wanted to get some opinions before making an offer.

Thanks!

It really depends on condition. Make sure they have no cracks or bends when you make your offer. I would say not much more than $300-400 (maybe less) for the set though in good condition. I don't think these are highly desireable outside of personal taste for them so you shouldn't have too much competition. Good luck.

What hogz said. I've seen these on craigslist in the northeast for no more than $400 in good condition with no curb rash.

Thanks guys! I spoke with the guy today and he wants $600 for all four. Definitely more than I want to pay. He's willing to meet me at my mechanic and let him inspect them and spin them on his balancer, so that piece is covered off.

He's used the wheels in summer and winter so if I had to guess they have probably taken more of a beating then if they were dedicated summer rims.

I'll make him an offer in the $300 range. Thanks again.

Time is your friend. There won't be much competition if you want to wait him out. $600 is highly optimistic.

Hog and J, thanks again for your guidance on this one. I emailed the guy back and told him I would pass based on his asking price. I told him he knew where to find me if he decided to come down a bit.

The wonderful thing about online classifieds... there will always be nice wheels for sale!

Cheers!
