Tire Pressures Uneven After Hot Laps

I start the session with even pressures, typically 32 cold all 4 and check when come back the paddock. I noticed however at the last event, both my right side tires were 2lbs higher than the 2 lefts, why is that? Is it the nature of the track, having more right handed turns and the right side tires working more?

Sounds about right. Just the nature of the track.

Happens to me fairly often in autocross. I'll either cook the left or right front tire depending on the layout and then I'll start running different pressures on the left and right side

A given track can have significantly more turns in one direction versus another. At my home track Roebling road it kills the left side. My temps are 4 degrees hotter on the left F/R despite using Nitrogen!! Thats why its key to take regular tire temps, and check pressures during the course of your day. Once you know what to expect you can plan accordingly. For instance I start off at 28PSI on the left and 30 PSI with Nitrogen on the right now at this track.

Most road race courses are clockwise, so I'm surprised it isn't your left side pressures that are higher.

On my track car (Mini Cooper S with Star Specs) I shoot for 39psi hot at all 4 corners, and adjust after each session to keep it there.
