New battery no radio
AAA just installed a new battery and some of the computer readings are blank along with the radio. Does this mean a trip to the BMW dealer and $$$ ?

Very strange. make sure you have not blown any fuses. Battery replacement should only affect the clock and automatic windows. No registration is required on the E85/86 Z4.

If no fuses are blown, disconnect the battery for 10 minutes then reconnect it. Make sure the cable/connection is good. If that doesn't work, something may have gotten damaged/fried. Did you try use jumper cables on the car? Connect them wrong? Who knows what AAA did, they may have messed something up? Good luck.
