Jesus, 814 views and not a single helpful response yet? Holy....
K, pop the grill off. It has tabs that hold it in, all you need for this is a simple medium sized (#2) Flathead screwdriver to pry it off. Keep the Screwdriver right between the edge of the grill and the plastic shroud around it, and it'll pop off quite easily. You'll notice 4 (#2) phillips screws holding each sub and 6 holding the plate. Ideally you'd only need to remove the sub if you're doing a direct replacement, but if you plan on upgrading then the plate will have to be removed also. Actually, here, check out my tutorial, and if you have any further questions PM me or just post them here. I'll do my best to walk you guys through them. http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=248228 I also have a pair of the stock Carver subs for sale if anybody wants them. I dont want much, just pay for S & H and their yours. I have no use for them anymore.

Please use a suitable trim remover and NOT a screwdriver - the covers are soft and can mar when using a screwdriver. also - my subs were held in by torx fittings - just as easy as phillips but make sure you have a torx driver available.
Not to be insulting but are you sure its' the speaker and not the amp? |
