The large GB price/deal makes it tempting though. See if APR is willing to drop the prices down any lower Chris
By the way, are there any bottom-side pix Chris? I'd like to see how they're mounted on the bottom. Is it drilled into the bumper? Perhaps I'll try drilling AND urethane adhesive. That way I might not need to use the metal rods =P |

Hmm yeh...I'm tempted to try it without the metal rods... Does the APR kit come with the other hardware though? Like all the nuts and bolts required? Also, do the splitter pieces of guide holes for drilling? |

Splitter support rods / Install
Wow great feedback from everyone
Two Clarifications I will add to the original post 1-Splitter Support rods: The splitter support rods are not required. The splitter has 11 mounting points to the bumper not including the support rods. Three of these mounting points are in-between the fangs. It is a very solid installation without the splitter support rods. I drove 1200 miles with the splitter installed before I added them. The splitter support rods are recommended for track use. They add even more rigidity to the end of the splitter and they add a small amount of adjustment to change the angle of the splitter. I mainly added them because I liked the motorsport inspired look . I also wanted try different angle settings to see what impact the adjustments would make to the driving characteristics of the coupe. 2-Installation: I will be posting a step by step DIY with a complete list/photos of hardware needed. All hardware is available @ local home improvement stores. The group buy is for the splitter and the 10mm support rods alone. The splitter doesn't have holes pre-drilled for mounting. This was done intentionally to keep the cost down and ensure the best fitment. In the DIY you will us your bumper to mark the exact mounting locations.

Now I wonder if I could add a strip of the 3M Ventureshield to the leading edge of the splitter to help protect it and it would be invisable.....

I want to get on the "cool guys list" but I need to know if this will fit a regular Z4 3.0si.
It seems that someone said it would and listed several vehicles. Can the OP verify that with APR please? |

Assuming the GB closes on the 7th, when can we expect these to be delivered? My thoughts are that since we're already over the +15 mark, our orders should be placed soon... Track day season starts V soon and i'd like to have this on before then if possible..

Hey, did you pay for your AS SSK? Just checking, because last time I got an update from Ronald, he said that the Euro RHD kit hadn't sold yet (But this was like 3+ weeks ago)
