i only swapped out the projector. I had aftermarket HID's already then just used D2S to aftermarket ballast converter.
remember BROWN is negative any other color is positive on headlight.

Am I correct is assuming the reason you did this was to allow you to use the factory D2S bulbs? Does the bulb socket appear to be the main difference in the two projectors? I have the MTEC setup (I think that's what you had). Where did you get your aftermarket D2S converter? How did you get the cable out of the housing? I had to drill a hole through the cover for my MTECs.. Now you need to add the auto-leveling... that would be cool... Chuck

I don't have M-tec...and I didn't spend $300 on it either
bulb holder is different...duh it's different for EVERY BULB. D2S converter avail on ebay. drilled a hole as well auto level...not possible. No way. It requires sensors, motors, wiring, and etc to make it work. If i remember, someone tried to lower a car with auto level lights and it really messed it up because of that height difference

Wow, I think this post jinxed me or something.... Now one of my headlights isn't working. The left side light works fine, but the right side doesn't turn on and it throws the bad bulb code in the dash. Looks like the bulb is fine, so I donno what the problem is. Could be a dead computer canceller, or a bad ballast maybe?

Bringing up a post from the dead.
Nice retrofit. Question, you did not get any bulb out error codes? Smidley, did you ever get yours fixed? I'm thinking of buying the DDM Tuning 55w 6000k HID kit ($60) but I don't want error codes popping up. http://www.ddmtuning.com/index.php?p...parent=85&pg=1 |

To power the ballasts, did you get power from the wiring inside or outside the headlights? I hooked up my ballasts to the low beam's wiring inside but they did not light up. |
