ORDERING PROCEDURE
To participate in this group buy, please follow the steps below:

1. Submit payment of $460.00 by 9/13/2010. Canadian customers should pay $475 USD.

Assuming all goes well, the vendor will order the production run at the end of the 7-day remittance period. Production will take anywhere from 3 to 4 weeks. Their policy is to provide a weekly update by email to everyone on the waiting list so you will know exactly where status is. Also be aware that if the paid orders fall below 16 units, we will be expected to remit an additional $20 in accordance with our original published offering. (If this scenario happens, the vendor will grant us a few more days to get the minimum 16 orders needed for the $460 price point).

ORIGINAL GROUP BUY INFORMATION

Upon contacting Strong-Strut about our strong interest in their braces, they are pleased to offer a group buy discount to the zpost forums. Please refer to the original "feeler" thread at http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=418341 for company and product information that has been already covered.


Z4 PRICING
All orders will include the complete 3-piece strut set (front AND firewall braces - $549 value) in black or titanium color; large hardware installation kit (washers, acorn nuts, and plastic tower caps http://www.strong-strut.com/accessory_kit.htm - $30 value); and free shipping within the US ($20 value - please ask about additional cost for shipping outside of the US). Please know that these struts are rarely discounted so you would be getting quite the bargain especially considering the products come with a lifetime warranty against failure including hairline cracks and fractures (2 years coverage for the finish). The warranty is even transferable to second owners should you part the car out to sell in the future.

• 10-15 orders = $480.00 (~20% savings off the $599 MSRP total package price)
• 16-25 orders = $460.00 (~23% savings off the $599 MSRP total package price)
• Front strut braces only = $355.00 (~13% savings off shipped price)

Please add $15 USD for Complete Set shipments to Canada by way of UPS.


SHIPPING INFORMATION
Orders will not ship out until after the group buy is closed and payment from ALL participants have been received. There are only 5-6 units currently in stock, so the first to submit their payments will get theirs first. All others will have to wait approximately three weeks for additional units to be manufactured. In other words, first paid, first served! Tracking information will be emailed as it becomes available. Please ask about additional cost for shipping outside of the US and Canada.


IMPORTANT NOTES
- Acorn nuts for the firewall braces will not be included for those with hex head bolts as it would not be applicable to your vehicle.

- The plastic tower caps require a small modification to make them fit as they are OEM parts for the Z8. Trim off the bottom 1/8 inch skirt then use an adhesive on the edge to hold them in place. The Strong-Strut owner has reported that the caps on his 07 Z4MR have stayed in place since January 2007.

This group buy is specifically for the complete set, but the vendor will make an exception for those wanting the front crossbar only @ $355 shipped.

Regarding the accident-related question you had about the firewall braces:
"The several decorative holes allow the bar to collapse in the event of a severe front end collision."

Response from the vendor:
The firewall brace hardware is quite simple. There are two methods used by BMW. A threaded stud sticking up out of the chassis with a hex NUT securing the end of the FW brace. The other method is a threaded hex head BOLT that threads down into the chassis (nothing sticking up). Sometimes people get NUT and BOLT mixed up or use them interchangeably which would be confusing in this instance. Everyone should stop and think what a NUT is and what a BOLT is, then report in their order accordingly.

Also, not to be confused, but we are talking about the Firewall brace hardware, NOT the shock towers which ALL have three threaded studs sticking up out of the chassis with a NUT fastener.

Shipping internationally is routine for Strong-Strut. We ship to Australia just about every week. The complete set will run you $78 in shipping fees. We ship by USPS International Express and the transit time is about 6 days and includes the parcel tracking feature. we claim a value of only $100 on the Customs forms in order to keep any import fees to a minimum.
