TE37SL's aren't provisioned to take a centre cap, exposing the ugly rusty hubs.

Spent the morning cleaning them off with a wire wheel and used caliper paint on them. Extremely happy with the finish, but kind of regret not getting a darker colour. Much better than rust though.

Looks good, but now that you've done all that...

It's not an inexpensive piece. But proper fanboys like me will adore and recognize this jewelry upgrade and know what you've actually done.

Was one of the alternatives I looked at, but I don't mind the lack of a centre cap as long as the hub is clean - and I'd much prefer to spend that money on track days or consumables. $200 in adapters, and another $200 in the caps themselves is steep, I paid $50 all-in for the paint and wire brushes (6 of them) to go this route and still have tons of paint left.

That's why I only use a Sharpie Oil pen on them for the hard parked look.

Not far from true. On a normal race season I get 10k Kms (rears) with daily driving on them. I last had them on my 135i a year ago. With a square setup of 265's I'm hoping to get a little more out of them.

I'm excited to learn more about the Dirreza III's coming soon, as Direzza's have always offered a bit more wear with a little less grip.

I love those RF's. They look so much better that way. I must admit I was contemplating one myself if it could fit a set of golf clubs.

10k is pretty good!
....that's more than I would have thought.

Agreed! Its a neat little car- trunk opening is small but it expands width wise and is surprisingly deep.

Hah, yes I get to benefit as well. She learned a few years ago - my poor clutch.

I got this wind blocker on last week. I had tried another brand first, but it didn't fit with the extended leather on the roll hoops, so I returned it an got this one from http://www.windrestrictor.com/.

If I had to do it over again, I might consider getting the wind blocker from BackBlade instead. See the comparison at http://www.backblade.net/wind-restrictor-reviews/. I stumbled upon them after I bought this one. They include etching, tinting and shipping for free.

I like the look and brackets of the one you got. Can you post more pictures of the mounting? Also...if you bought the lit one, where did you connect the light?

I did not get the lighted option. Too much money for something that I am not likely to use.

Here's a couple of other photos. The brackets that attach to the roll hoops have a rubber patch that helps it grip well and keeps from marring the roll hoops. The middle bracket attaches with some 3M tape.

Just picked up two cases (24L) of Castrol Edge Professional TWS 10W60 oil and 1L of SRF React Brake Fluid. Little bit of prep before my first track day this weekend (assuming weather holds up)

I bought the supplies to restore the headlights on my Z4MR. The clear coat was wearing off on the top edge and someone had used a paint pen to make some markings on them (have no clue why). It took 400 grit to get the old clear coat off. Then I worked up to 2000 grit. Sanding the pointy corners was a bit of a pain. A few coats of clear coat finished it off. They turned out better than expected.

Looks great, have any before pics? Been contemplating doing mine but I'm not so sure it needs it. My lamps are just slightly yellowing.
